Peter Asher and Gordon Waller.
They were the first UK act to hit #1 in the USA after the Beatle breakthrough.

The following is a list of all of Peter and Gordon's USA and UK releases.  This is only a basic list.  This does not cover foreign issues, promotion items or songs by Peter and Gordon found on various compilations.

USA SINGLES ON CAPITOL

5175    A World Without Love/If I Were You [1964]

5211    Nobody I Know/You Don't Have To Tell Me [1964]

5272    I Don't Want To See You Again/I Would Buy You Presents [1964]

5335    I Go To Pieces/Love Me Baby [1965]

5406    True Love Ways/If You Wish [1965]

5461    To Know You Is To Love You/I Told You So [1965]

5532    Don't Pity Me/Crying In The Rain [1965]

5579    Woman/Wrong From The Start [1966]
note:    The initial pressing of this single have the composer listed as Bernard Webb-subsequent pressings have the composer listed as A. Smith.  As most of you know, Paul McCartney wrote this song.  However, it is unclear why the US pressings changed the name on the label.

5650     There's No Living Without Your Loving/Stranger With A Black Dove. [1966]

5684    To Show I Love You/Start Trying Someone Else [1966]

5740      Lady Godiva/Morning's Calling [1966]
note:      Some sources list a song called "The House I Live In" as being the original flip side.  I have not see copies of this particular song with that song on it.

5808      Knight In Rusty Armour/Flower Lady [1966]
note:      US. copies have the British spelling of "Armour"

5864      Sunday For Tea/Hurtin Is Lovin [1967]

5919      The Jokers/Red Cream and Velvet [1967]

2071      Greener Days/Never Ever [1968]
note:      In order to avoid confusion with Capitol's 6000 numerical "Starline" reissue series, they reverted back to the 2000 series that had been in use in 1952.  However, 50's issues on the old purple label had a prefix "F" to separate them from the 78's.

2214      You've Had Better Times/Sipping My Wine [1968]

2544       I Can Remember/Hard Times Rainy Days [1969]

USA Albums on Capitol
note:      Capitol issued albums both in mono and stereo with the same release numbers. However, most British artists recorded and released their material in mono - Mistakenly, the two track masters were mixed into stereo for USA albums - meaning that both had Peter and Gordon vocals in one channel and the instruments in the other and some were issued in re-channeled stereo/  Therefore, collectors should seek out the mono releases if at all possible.

2115     A World Without Love [1964]

2220     I Don't Want To See You Again [1964]

2324     I Go To Pieces [1965]

2368     True Love Ways [1965]

2430     Peter and Gordon Sing The Hits Of Nashville [1966]

2477     Woman [1966]

2549    The Best Of Peter and Gordon [1966]
note:     Copies of this album were released with both the standard Capitol color band label and also the black or gold "Starline" label - there is the possibility that they may have also used the red and white "Starline" label.

2664     Lady Godiva [1966]

2729     Knight In Rusty Armour [1967]

2747     In London For Tea [1967]

2882     Hot Cold and Custard [1968]
note:     This LP was only issued in stereo as mono albums were being phased out at this time.

note:     Same as 1966 issue with "I Told You So" deleted.
