PAUL McCARTNEY THRILLED BY PETER AND GORDON REUNION
|
SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY has given
folk duo PETER AND GORDON a boost as they launch a long-awaited
comeback, by urging fans to catch one of their reunion shows.
The former BEATLE penned the pair's smash-hit 1964 debut A WORLD
WITHOUT LOVE, and has been linked to PETER ASHER and GORDON WALLER
throughout their career.
Peter And Gordon split in 1968 but reunited last year (05) and are
now touring together again - and Paul MCCartney couldn't be happier.
In a surprise message, read by Martin Lewis before their 12
song set at the 2005 Beatlefest, he coos,
"What the world needs now is Peter and Gordon to
sing their songs and remind us all of the fab years they are from.
"I'm very glad to hear that they have got together after these many
moons and are going to help to make a world without love into
a love-filled planet." |
